HYROX Nashville 2026

Nashville is one of the fastest-growing cities in the US, and the fitness scene has kept up. The December 10-13 event closes the US fall race calendar. A growing population of young professionals, musicians, and entrepreneurs has fueled new boutique fitness studios, CrossFit boxes, and outdoor training groups across the city.

December in Nashville means mild winter weather -- temperatures in the mid-40s to mid-50s Fahrenheit, much more comfortable than northern cities. The downtown location at Music City Center puts athletes two blocks from Broadway's honky-tonks. Race first, celebrate after.

Getting There

By Air

  • Nashville does not have a rail connection from the airport. Rideshare, taxi, or hotel shuttles are your options

By Train/Transit

  • WeGo Star (commuter rail): Limited commuter service from eastern suburbs to downtown Riverfront Station, about a 10-minute walk from Music City Center
  • WeGo Bus: Nashville's public bus system covers the metro area. Routes 3, 5, and others serve downtown stops near the venue. Service is limited compared to major cities
  • Music City Circuit: Free downtown bus circulator with stops along Broadway and near the Convention Center

By Car

  • From I-40: Exit at Broadway or Demonbreun Street and follow signs toward downtown and Music City Center
  • From I-65: Exit at Wedgewood or Broadway for direct access to the SoBro area
  • Parking: Music City Center garage and several nearby public garages. Expect $20-30 per day on event days
  • Tip: Nashville is a car-centric city but downtown is walkable. If your hotel is downtown, you can leave the car parked and walk to everything

Where to Stay

  • Downtown / SoBro -- walking distance to the venue. JW Marriott Nashville, Omni Nashville, and several boutique hotels along 4th Avenue. Convenient but premium pricing
  • The Gulch is a few blocks southwest of Music City Center. Upscale hotels, good restaurants (Biscuit Love, The 404 Kitchen), 10-minute walk to the venue
  • Midtown / Music Row has hotels near Vanderbilt University, about 15-20 minutes by foot or a short rideshare. More moderate prices
  • Germantown, north of downtown, has boutique hotels and restaurants. About 15 minutes to the venue on foot or by rideshare
  • East Nashville is across the river -- short Uber to downtown, budget-friendly, and the most eclectic neighborhood in the city

Training in Nashville

Nashville's fitness scene has grown alongside the city. A young, active population and mild climate make it a solid place to train for HYROX.

  • CrossFit Nashville -- one of the longest-running boxes in the city, with HYROX-ready equipment and a competitive community
  • SWEAT Nashville runs high-intensity group training with functional fitness circuits and a running component. Multiple locations
  • Title Boxing Club combines boxing and strength training, useful for building the upper body endurance HYROX demands
  • Orangetheory Fitness has several Nashville locations with rower and treadmill intervals that map well to HYROX preparation

Running Routes

  • Shelby Bottoms Greenway is Nashville's best running trail -- a paved greenway along the Cumberland River through Shelby Park, about 5 miles of flat path. Connects to East Nashville via pedestrian bridge
  • Cumberland River Greenway has multiple paved trail segments along the river through downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. The downtown to Nissan Stadium section is a flat, easy out-and-back
  • Percy Warner Park -- hilly paved roads and trails in West Nashville, good for building strength. The Deep Well loop is a popular 5.8-mile route
  • Centennial Park has a 1-mile loop around the full-size Parthenon replica. Flat and well-lit, good for evening intervals
